ISSRE 2021 Conference Model

• ISSRE 2021 adopts a hybrid model with two independent programs, i.e.,onsite program and online program.
• The authors from China (areas with low risk of COVID-19) or that are able to obtain a visa to travel to China are encouraged to register to onsite program, and the authors outside of China or the authors of collocated virtual workshops can apply for online registration with some justification.
• The onsite registrants can attend both onsite and online programs, but the online registrants can only attend the online program.
• All authors should deliver a 10-15 minutes video until Oct 8, and deliver a 2-3 minutes video pitch until Oct 8. The video will be shared in ISSRE online platform and available to ISSRE participants only, while the pitch will not be made available, and will only be used as a contingency plan during the conference, due to connectivity issues. • Authors must present live in one program, while are ENCOURAGED (NOT MANDATORY) to present again in the other program, except for the authors of best paper candidates.
  • Best paper sessions will happen in both programs live (for those who cannot present onsite, remote live presentation will be considered).
  • Onsite authors are encouraged (NOT MANDATORY) to present live again in the online program if they would like to share their work with more audience. They can also choose to skip the live presentation but only participate in the Q&A live sessions in online program.
  • Online authors are also encouraged (NOT MANDATORY) to present again in the onsite program. Remote live presentation will be arranged as requested (to the Program Managers)
• The online system will support Async Q/A that will help complement the discussion including before after the presentations.
• The keynotes presentations of the two programs are different, and the keynotes of onsite program will be recorded and available online to the attendees.
