Call for Fast Abstracts

A Fast Abstract (FA) paper is a two-page, lightly reviewed technical article. The goal of the Fast Abstract track is to bring together researchers and practitioners working in Software Reliability Engineering (SRE) to

  • introduce early original ideas;
  • discuss relevant work in progress and ongoing experiences;
  • challenge the SRE status quo on key topics;
  • present critical analysis on previous work;
  • share lessons learnt from real-world SRE applications;
  • propose new problems encountered during industrial or academic experience; and/or
  • describe approaches to problems of significance without complete results yet.

Accepted contributions will be published in the Supplemental Proceedings of the 32nd IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering and uploaded to IEEE Xplore.

Topics of Interest

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Dependability attributes such as security, reliability, safety, maintainability, survivability, resilience, robustness, etc.
  • Dependability threats such as faults (defects, bugs, etc.), errors, and failures.
  • Reliability of all kinds of systems, applications, networks, and software, including problems, solutions, and discussions.
  • Metrics, measurement, assessment, monitoring, modeling, estimation and prediction with regards to reliability.
  • Other contents pertaining to software reliability, such as normative/regulatory/ethical spaces, societal aspects, etc.

Presentations

Accepted fast abstracts will be presented in the Fast Abstract sessions of the ISSRE conference. Further instructions on the presentations are TBD.
